The Lind Picnic

Welcome to the official web page for the family reunion of the descendents and family of John and Anna (Gabrielson) Lind. John was the son of Ole Anderson, and born in Skønä, Sverige, in 1869, emigrating to the US in about 1886. Anna was born in 1879 in Mo, Norway. They met and married in Minnesota, where most of the family is still found today. The children of John and Anna were Andrew, Gladys, Johnny, Edwin, and Morgan.

OK - never did get the update done for the 2006 picnic / reunion, and we've just decided to cancel it. Record-breaking heat is not what people need to cope with right now! I will do the update now for the 2007 picnic, so I can't forget.

The park where we gather is great. There's an extensive play area, and there's canoe access to the Elk River. In past years, we've had volley ball, badminton, and bocci ball. This year, there was some fishing going on, as well. It's a great reunion now, but it would be a real memory-maker if we could get up to 50 or so in attendance. The Plan

The Lion's Park is just a couple miles North of Big Lake on County Road 5. There are several shelters there, and we don't know which one we will get, so look for banners and balloons.

If you are coming from the Twin Cities, your best bet is probably to get on I94 to Highway 25 to Big Lake, and then go a couple blocks East to get to County 5.
